In the midst
of my morning frenzy, I quickly glance at my watch and do a mental calculation
whether or not I have the time to grab a take away from the local coffee shop.
It’s ok to be two minutes late, but can you imagine, NO MORNING COFFEE. I know
I am not the only one. But this gets really tiresome after a point. Wouldn’t it
be nice to have your own coffee station? I thought. And I worked on it.
It’s easier
than it sounds. A couple of hours over the weekend and I found my own coffee
get away.
Step 1:
Find a
corner in your kitchen or living room, where you want to build your private
café.
Invest in a
good looking coffee machine, if you don’t have one already. Mine was lying
somewhere in the kitchen cupboards, eating dust. A little wiffwaff with the
cleaning cloth, mind it new and shiny, again.
Step 3:
Now that
you’re making your own coffee station, be ready for a few friends who’ll love
to try it out too. Get a coffee plunger. People have their own preferences.
Step 4:
Get a nice
looking set of handy napkins. You might want to set the mood right with either
dinner napkins or cocktail serviettes.
Step 5:
Sugar &
Creamer set. If you want a vintage look, go for porcelain or make it trendy by
getting silver ones. There are a ton of them available.
Step 6:
Small coffee
spoons for adding extra sugar or stirring. I personally opted for small dessert
spoons and have them neatly placed in an empty cup.
Step 7:
If you’re
not in college, get a proper set of coffee mugs. Being a fan of European
things, I got a smaller white and blue set, for when I have company.
Step 8:
Put all the
things together on a neat tray and you’re done.
Hope I could
help you. Be back with something new after my cup of home brewed coffee.
